Rarely do couples give themselves time to really marinate in the awe of being truly engaged since the tendency is to get swept up in wedding planning right away. But your engagement session is that one moment in time to look each other and say,
"let's do this"
Maybe you're the tacos and margaritas people, or maybe you're the concert-goers and the night-owls...or maybe you're more of the order in pizza with your favorite streaming shows...let's have some fun, laugh a lot, and maybe have a cheers over how awkward we all are!

*Although I do offer engagement sessions without the commitment of also shooting your wedding, I strongly encourage you to try and schedule your session with your wedding photographer. Not only is it an amazing opportunity to work together before your big day, giving you the chance to become friends and learn more about each other, but your wedding photographer may also offer a discount for your session (like I do) or may even offer packages that come with engagement sessions as part of the whole. So although I would never choose to turn away the chance to be a part of your love story, I would also never want to rob you or your photographer of the golden opportunity to capture your engagement as well.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love engagement sessions! When designing your perfect session, we will always include those beautiful, classic shots we all drool over on top of those amazingly fun and adorable parts that really capture the authenticity of your relationship.
When considering what your engagement session will look like, I have all my couples fill out an "Intro" form to help me get to know the two of you better. Based on your answers, I pitch a few session designs that would be amazing for you two! Having your session at your favorite bar or date night spot is absolutely nothing new for me, and have gone so far as to host sessions at breweries, airports and airplane runways, bowling alleys, etc. To help you envision a session so unique, I’ll explain it in full and support the design with example photos for you to look at.
The session itself will be so much fun and guaranteed to be nothing like what you expected! I prompt action to create candid moments, and rarely do we stand still...we may even get a little dirty if we are going to hike or climb! I like to say that I’m just as adventurous as my couples.

WHAT TO
wear
When considering what you are wearing, remember that you will get those clean and primped photos on your wedding day, so now is a great time to stay comfortable, especially if we will be climbing, or bowling, or who knows what! A good rule-of-thumb is to stay away from bright, neon colors, graphics, and/or bold patterns (unless intentional).
I RECOMMEND STICKING TO ONE OUTFIT, and let me explain a bit why...
Rarely do I meet a couple that says, “we LOVE getting our picture taken!” More times than not, it’s more like, “we are incredibly awkward and have never done this before!” Regardless of your comfort level in front of the camera, it takes a few moments to really break into the session and get to the good stuff! Because of this, stopping the session halfway through to change your outfit tends to put a stick in the wheel and forces us to break the ice all over again and spend time becoming comfortable all over again rather than staying on that awesome candid flow once it gets rolling. It is not unheard of to do a second outfit, but I do recommend only using this outfit for about 10 minutes at the very end of the session.

WEDDING A LA CARTE MENU
All listed costs are in addition to your contracted package price. Customization requests are noted and honored but are not listed within your official contract.
SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER - $600
Although you may request to have a second photographer in attendance for your big day, I encourage you to inquire as to whether it is necessary for your particular package since there are many reasons why you should, or should not, have an extra pair of hands. Please note that depending on various details and timing, requesting a second photographer may not be available.
EXPEDITED DELIVERY - one week delivery $850, two week delivery $700
All weddings are guaranteed to be delivered within 45 days from your contracted wedding date. Expedited delivery may be added to your package depending on availability and should be inquired about and booked upon hire. It is not guaranteed that expedited delivery can be accommodated to all packages depending on the current calendar-year bookings.
DISPOSABLE POLAROID - $95
These cameras are so old school and so fun; there is nothing like having an actual print in your hand! Add this option on, and I will bring one disposable camera to your session and take photos throughout, while handing it to you at the end so you can have it developed.
PRINTS, CANVAS, & ALBUMS
Every online gallery comes with the ability to “shop” your gallery and to customize your order. The pricing ranges depending on the product and quantity. Should you require or desire custom options for albums, please inquire directly with details of request.

Includes one location of your choice, 45+min shoot time, all edited high-resolution photos from your session, and a 3-month online gallery with full download capability. I honor a $200 discount on this session for couples that book their weddings with me. These sessions are not part of your contract or package investment.

Includes one location of your choice with appropriate amount of time necessary per location (at home, outdoors, or hotel booking), all edited high-resolution photos from your session, and a 3-month online gallery with full download capability. These sessions are not part of your contract or package investment.
AFTER-WEDDING MINI SESSION - Tier 1 $360, Tier 2 $420
A super fun and adventurous way to play dress up again, but without the stress of time constraints, dirtying the dress, or wedding day agendas! Includes one location of your choice, 30min shoot time, all edited high-resolution photos from your session, and an additional digital album in your official wedding gallery that comes with full download capability and expires one year to delivery date of your Wedding gallery.

THE EXPERIENCE I PROVIDE MY COUPLES WITH TODAY WAS CREATED ONE STEP AT A TIME (OR IF I’M BEING HONEST, ONE PROBLEM AT A TIME) OVER THE COURSE OF MANY YEARS AND MANY WEDDINGS.
So many times I would ask the same things to myself -- "why didn't anyone ask them that,” “did no one else tell them about this,” “I should really include this piece of information in the questions I ask ahead of time,” etc. It was only a few years ago I had an epiphany – couples aren’t creating smooth timelines because, more times than not, they just don’t know!
As a vendor, we cannot expect that our couples know what we know – how long things should take, all the ins-and-outs and helpful tips. They’ve never done it before! That was when I stepped in and began creating timelines for my clients, asking them about their dream wedding, what they had already booked, relationships between families and friends, so that right off the bat at the very beginning stages of their planning, my couples could proceed with confidence with answers to all the questions they didn’t know were coming from other vendors and a firm hand to on to with me.
I heard many, many times, “you should go into wedding planning professionally,” and to be honest, I thought about it, but my love for the photography portion supersedes everything else. However, it occurred to me that I could offer my years of experience outside of my direct clientele, so that anyone could have access to everything and everyone I know.
LET ME PREFACE ALL OF THIS BY SAYING I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING A COORDINATOR IF YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS FOR IT! IF YOU NEED RECOMMENDATIONS OF PEOPLE I HAVE FOUND TO BE THE BEST MANAGER OF YOUR TEAM, CHECK OUT THE ONES I VIBE WITH HERE.
However, maybe the support provided by your venue feels sub-par, maybe hiring your own coordinator puts a strain on your budget or may even be way outside of it, maybe it is simply because you have absolutely NO idea where to start. It’s all good, I got you!

WEDDING INFORMATION
Although I do my absolute best to respond to my emails daily, my office desk hours for emails are Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-4:00pm. This does not mean that I am always at my desk during these hours. If you are emailing within these hours, please wait 72 hours for a response before resending. If emailing outside of these hours, please wait until the following week before resending. Please also note that I do not respond to emails from clients regarding turnaround times unless your due date has passed; to find this information, please scroll to the FAQ section of this page.
Frequently Asked Questions
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Wedding photography delivery dates are guaranteed to be within 45 days of the contracted date. Should you be interested in Expedited Delivery options, please find more information about this in the Wedding A La Carte Menu.
HOW LONG IS MY GALLERY ACTIVE, AND AM I ABLE TO SHARE IT?
Your gallery is active online with all its available features for one year, beginning the date of gallery delivery. Should you wish to extend your gallery, it is $25/month with a one month minimum; if your gallery has become inactive prior to your request, an additional $50 activation fee will be added to your requested extension.
You have the full ability to share the link to your gallery with anyone that you choose or on any platform you would like to post it so long as the photos do not lose their original integrity. Please note that anyone with the link to the gallery will have the same level of access to the photos as you do, and they will only have access to the gallery for the same length of time you do. Other members added to your gallery cannot opt for gallery extensions without client permission.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE MY WEDDING DATE?
Both the Reservation Fee and Contract are due at the same time in order to secure services for your wedding date.
FINAL PAYMENTS, METHODS OF PAYMENTS, & PAYMENT PLANS
Your final payment is due no later than one week prior to your contracted date. There is a $150 discount for final payments paid with cash but require to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the contracted date. All card transactions will have a 4% processing fee, including Venmo. Checks can be made payable to Laura Ink but must be hand-delivered at least 2 weeks prior to contracted date.
There are no official Payment Plans since everyone budgets differently. You are welcome to make payments however you would like throughout the course of your contract in order to complete your final balance. Each payment will be documented with an email receipt, acknowledging your payment amount and balance due.
AM I ABLE TO ADJUST MY PACKAGE AND/OR PACKAGE DETAILS ONCE THE CONTRACT IS SIGNED?
Changes to packages can always be accommodated so long as extensive communication has occurred and the changes have been mutually agreed upon as beneficial for the updated circumstances. It is encouraged to add customizations to your package at the time of booking / signing your contract to ensure they can be accommodated. You are always welcome to inquire about adding customizations over the course of time, but it is not guaranteed they can be applied to your contract should the time or resources not be available at that point. You may also choose to shift your wedding coverage package up or down and only be responsible for the cost of the package.
CAN I MOVE MY WEDDING DATE OR RESERVE A SECOND "SAFETY" DATE?
Contracted dates can always be moved with all its corresponding agreements at no additional cost so long as I have the new requested date available. There is a chance that customizations may not be available for the new date, but it will be communicated prior to shifting the package agreement, and any changes to the package and/or customizations will be updated in the paperwork for the new contracted date. If I do not have the new date available, the Cancellation Policies from the contract are applied.
Reserving a second date with your contract (AKA, a “safety” date, or “soft hold” date) requires an additional $550 reservation fee, due immediately to hold the secondary date, which cannot be refunded or applied to a final balance.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Should you decide to cancel services for any reason, your reservation fee is non-refundable under any circumstances but any payments made towards your final balance are refundable in full up to 4 months prior to your contracted date. Should you cancel services less than 4 months to your contracted date, any payments made towards your final balance may be used in credit but cannot be transferred to anyone other than the contracted clients. It is therefore encouraged to make your final payment within the same month of your contracted date. Customizations will be removed from what is considered to be your “final balance.” Should I cancel for any reason, all payments made toward wedding package are refundable in full (reservation fee and package payments). Please note any sessions hosted during contracted timeframe where service was provided and product was delivered are non-refundable under any circumstances; additional sessions are not part of wedding package contract (ie: engagements, intimates, etc.)
